hello summer vacation!

well the time has officially come! yet another semester has come and gone, and it's crazy to think how fast the time has flown! i just finished my 4th semester...HALF WAY DONE! my time spent in rexburg seems to drag and i wish i were done...but at the same time i wish it would slow down. i guess i'm never satisfied. :)

my time spent at the middle school was INCREDIBLE! i learned soooo much! it's amazing how fast you can fall in love with a group of kids, and i can honestly say that my 5th grade class was one of the best experiences in college thus far. from playing dodgeball, watching them struggle, hearing hilarious justin bieber jokes, grading papers, hearing about the "well..so and so likes you!", seeing the lightbulbs come on & witnessing them understand a concept, being bribed as a teacher for 2 pink erasers (just what i wanted...right?), hours and hours of lesson planning, and the intimidation of teaching for the first time... i seriously fell in love with the 5th grade. cheesy? maybe. i can honestly say that that class has helped me learn a lot about myself, and i loved being a small part in those kids lives. sad part? i'll probably never see them again, but i will never forget them. also, i have realized how much hard work and dedication it takes to be a teacher. they HONESTLY do not get paid good enough. please pray for our teachers. :)

anyway...here's just a little glimpse into my past semester via pictures.....

I celebrated pi day (3.14/march 14th) with my roommate. we went to frontier pies & had the worst pie of all time. it was all worth it for the experience, ok?

my room started to look like this more frequently. my poor ninja roommate. after projects and more projects, papers, and tests...I'M DONE! and this tiny bedroom is no longer ours to share. :(

uuhh...i found a GRAY HAIR!!!!!!!!!! i'm surprised the world hasn't ended yet.

i did 100+++ BILLION science labs in my integrated science class. one of my favorite classes by far! in this lab we are doing a predator/prey simulation. the little pieces of paper are rabbits and the cardboard was....some other large animal that ate rabbits. and in case you were wondering, rabbits breed like MAD!

had a lot of fun at FHE! this was our last activity together-an easter egg hunt! we were a little lacking on the boys side.... rude, huh? what? they think they have something better to do than bond with the BEST APARTMENT EVER?

anyway...all is well in the life of KAYLAKINS! i'm back to work full-time and life is super, super swell. more updates coming shortly. :)
