kayla=slacker

yeah...i must have dropped off the face of the earth or something.

ok, i lied.

i've been SUPER busy since i've been home for the summer. it's a different kind of busy, though. not the "school" busy. more like the "full-time job, summer lovin, social life livin, clean car keepin" busy. here's a look at what i've been up to!

i put rims on my jeep with part of my tax return money and this little chick looks soooo much better. my old rims were peeling and they looked AWFUL, so now my baby looks pretty rad. now everyone calls me "hot wheels." go figure. doesn't she look good?

june 16th was my best friends wedding in slc. aubrey and i went down for that, and then the reception was in IF the next day. linds looked sooooo pretty, and they looked so happy.

aubrey and i had a tie dye night and it was lots of fun. we each did 3 shirts, 1 for the 4th of july. it was super fun. :)

these are actually aubrey's. i accidentally took hers home and i never took a picture of mine.

had a fabulous 4th of july with some great people!

and watched the fireworks with these beautiful ladies (and their family.) thanks guys!

now here is the place things start getting intense. if the sight of blood grosses you out...stop here!
you have been warned.
no, really.

i biffed it on josh's old 200 motorbike july 5th. i gashed open my knee. it was absolutely disgusting. meat and fat and such exploded all over my pants and it was the nastiest thing i've ever seen. mom threw up, kelsey cried, and i just sat their awe struck. so i ran into the corral and the automatic water trough. caught the stainless steel lip right in the side of my knee. after a 4+ hour ER visit, i got all stitched up and now i'm on the road to recovery. no more motorbikes for me, what do you think?

day 1 after er

day 2 after er

the good thing about is it could have been a lot worse. i wasn't wearing a helmet because it was just supposed to be a cruise around the farm like the night before. if i would have hit my head we would be in SERIOUS trouble. when they were cleaning it out, they decided they needed to check out the joint to make sure there wasn't any damage. if there was, i would have to go to the or and have them clean out my joint. luckily my joint was ok, which i consider a HUGE blessing from god. it was such a crazy night, but since then i've had some AWESOME nurses (mom and kelsey). so now we're just waiting for it to heal and i get my stitches out in 2 weeks. woot!

anyway, summer has started out fantastic. i'm so lucky to have a full time job and everything has been super great thus far. (well...except for the crash...) but things can only get better from here on out!

PEACE!
